How To: Installing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Outlook

The following steps
with screen shots show how to install the Microsoft CRM Online for Outlook Client. There are two parts.
Part A: Install
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for Outlook Client

Note: Highly recommend 1 GB or more RAM and make
sure to apply the latest Microsoft Windows and Office updates to your computer
Note: Ensure that Microsoft Outlook is setup and
running properly prior to the Microsoft CRM Outlook Client installation
Note: Only Windows XP or Vista running Microsoft
Office Outlook 2003 or 2007 are supported
Note: It may
take several seconds to load



Note: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (if needed) and
SQL Server 2005 Express (if needed) can take several minutes to install

Note: Ensure that all the required components are
installed and all checks are green, and then click the “Next” button


Note: Warning check such as “After installation is
complete, run Windows Update…” is OK to continue. Also on computers that have less than 1GB
RAM, a warning will appear about it but is OK to continue – you can upgrade your
computer to more than 1 GB RAM after the installation

Note: Ensure that the “installed successfully…”
message is present

Part B: Configure
Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Client
After you complete
Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup (Part A), run the Configuration Wizard
to complete the installation.


Note: If you are not sure of your Windows Live ID,
check with your CRM Administrator




Note: The Connect to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online
window my appear the first time you open Microsoft Outlook after installing the
Microsoft CRM for Outlook client. Re-enter
your Windows Live ID and Password. Also
check the “Remember my password…”, and then click the “OK” button. If you are not sure of your Windows Live ID,
check with your CRM Administrator
